About Allie Davis
Allie has loved reading and writing stories since she was old enough to hold a book and a pencil. When a 2nd-grade teacher and members of her family began encouraging her to follow her passion to write, she started dreamed of being an author someday. Clara and the Constellations, her debut book for children, is only the beginning of her endeavor to write stories that inspire, teach and entertain!
A native of Abilene, Texas, Allie graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Journalism then swiftly moved to the Nashville, Tenn., area to marry her true love, Eric. They continue to reside a little bit outside of Nashville on a mini farm with their two daughters. When she's not writing or reading, Allie can usually be found soaking up sunshine with family or friends, carting her kids to all the places, traveling, singing, or walking the family's dogs, Ruby and Tucker.
Allie began her career in editing in 2008 and has worked with multiple authors, businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals to finesse their written work to be the best it can be. She specializes in editing children's picture books and has completed projects for nonfiction authors, as well. Allie founded Fascinate Books in 2023 with a vision to spread knowledge, a love for the written word, and excellent storytelling far and wide. Allie has worked for over 16 years writing and editing for organizations, authors and non-profits throughout Middle Tennessee and beyond.
As a mom of two adopted daughters, the lights of her life, Allie loves speaking about her journey in bringing home her children. She is passionate about helping others navigate infertility, the adoption process, and foster care so more children can find homes and families can get involved in caring for kids in need. In addition to being a mom, Allie has served as a hands-on advocate for children in her community, including individuals with disabilities.
Additionally, Allie speaks on topics related to parenting a child with special needs and/or trauma based on her own family's story and her previous experience as the special needs ministry director for a church in Middle Tennessee. Reach out today to book Allie to speak at your next event!
Allie is a member of Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
